Country Singers are the best

I have been a country singer now for 16 years but have now branched out into ballads as well. My  name is Jeannie James but everyone calls me Jay Jay.

I live in a small village on the Pennines (which are hills) near a small town called Stalybridge which is in England UK.

I used to sing in pubs and clubs but my favourite venue is singing in the Senior Citizens Homes, and Sheltered Accommodation Schemes, we also work a lot in day centres.

 I  actually finished recording my new CD at the end of January and it goes live on the internet for sale at the end of March 2010

I have sang all over the world, well some of it anyway. My favourite place is Malta, but have sang in Lanzarote,Ibiza,Teneriffe, Turkey as well as a few others.

In October 2005  my first professional CD called Winter Nights was released it is now available for download on the web worldwide.

My biggest ambition of course is to visit Nashville and of course go back to Ireland to see the country singers there.

A bit about myself: I have been singing now for 15 years. I am married, my husband also sings under the name of Adam James and his CD is available on the internet. My husband has now joined me and we have formed a duo called "Just We Two"

We have two sons who we are very proud of. The youngest is a chef by trade who is also into singing and writing his own songs. Our eldest son is into computers,writing programs and  he has just written a book.He has blessed us with two adorable grandsons. I have a sister who lives in Canada whom I don't see a lot of but love dearly. So if you read my website sis Luv you.

We also have two dogs and a cat. A Doberman cross called Cassie  we rescued from a Centre she isnow a beautiful animal I think she is crossed with a goat so I say she is a Dobergoat We also have a Golden Retreiver who is biscuit colored, he is now 5 years old. The cat comes and goes as he pleases but as we live in the country he is quite safe to roam. When its not raining that is.

As you will see I have included a couple of other photographs I am quite proud of.One is myself singing with the Country Brothers in Malta.If you ever visit Malta and you enjoy country music,search them out, they are great.

There is also a photo of our very good friend Rockin Ricky.He has been singing rock n roll since the 50's (he tells me he started very young). He was at the famous 2ii's coffee bar in London. The photo was taken at the Music Hall at Christmas so you can see he is still at it.

My favourite place for singing with live backing is the Music Hall in Manchester where a fantastic keyboard player by the name of  Mark Ramsden is. You can see the place by visiting You Tube and putting in Music Hall Big Band. So if you live in Manchester England, the place to visit to see live singers is The Music Hall Newton Heath Manchester

Just to let anybody know who is interested in looking at this site that my second CD is all country music and will be released worldwide in March 2010.
